Club Fundraising
Fundraising Tips & Reminders
Questions to Consider before your club holds a fundraiser:
What expense is your club fundraising to cover?
How will the fundraising activity your club chooses support the goals/vision of the club?
How will you communicate to potential donors what the club will be using the funds raised for? donors can be more willing to donate when they know the specific thing the club is trying to do with the funds.

Fundraising Ideas to host on campus
Car Wash: organize an after-school or weekend car wash in the school parking lot. Partner with local businesses for supplies.
Rent-a-Helper Service: offer to do small chores like delivering items across campus, organizing lockers, or creating personalized cards for staff or students.
School Supply Personalization: offer a service to customize water bottles, notebooks, or binders with vinyl stickers or artistic designs or using the laser cutter or cricut in the engineering building (clubs should check with teachers in the Engineering building about availability or reach out to a student who has a class in the engineering building to possible help).
Open Mic Night or Poetry Slam: host a lunch time or evening of performances by students. Ask for donations at the door to support the club’s goal/upcoming activity.
Sign up for the Holiday Faire: ASB hosts the annual Holiday Faire during lunch in December. Tier 2 & 3 clubs can host a food-related fundraiser at the fair.
Participate in Trivia Night: SCL hosts the annual Trivia Night after school in March. Tier 2 & 3 clubs can participate, winning team receives funds in club account. Note: non-club related teams can also participate, but if they win they will only be able to choose a club for the choose funds to go to.
Revenue Split with Local Restaurants/Vendors
Revenue split fundraising with local restaurants and vendors is an effective way for clubs to raise funds while fostering community partnerships. In this model, clubs can collaborate with local businesses to host fundraising events, such as "dine-out nights" or promotional days. During these events, a percentage of the sales generated by patrons who mention the club or present a specific flyer is donated back to the club. This not only encourages club members and supporters to frequent the business but also attracts new customers for the vendor.
To maximize impact, clubs should promote the event through social media, flyers, and word of mouth to drive attendance. Clear communication with the vendor about the agreed-upon revenue split and event details ensures a smooth process. Additionally, maintaining a good relationship with the vendor can lead to ongoing fundraising opportunities.
